Jordan recalls co-founding his paper company, the Dixie Tag and Envelope Manufacturing Company, describes contract work that it undertook for the U.S. government during World War II, and discusses its significance in Charlotte, North Carolina. Interviewee Biography: Harvie C. Jordan was a 69-year-old man at the time of interview. He was born in Dillon, South Carolina in 1910. He was educated at The Citadel for two years. He was employed as an entrepreneur in the printing industry and helped found the Dixie Tag and Envelope Manufacturing Company.
