Interviewee Biography: Jerry Bumgarner was 48 years old and Rick Bumgarner was 45 years old at the time of the interview, which took place in Catawba County, North Carolina. Rick was born in Reidsville, North Carolina in 1957. Rick served in the military before working as a motorsports mechanic for 8 years, then later opened a sawmill and worked in logging. Jerry was born in Catawba County in 1954 and went into logging after he served in the military.
