Matthew Allen was the general manager at Hyatt House, a hotel in Uptown Charlotte. He photographed the Uptown area in the daytime after protest had occured during previous evenings. Photographs include people painting murals on plywood boards that had been secured to windows on Uptown buildings, people taking phtographs, and people posing for photographs.
