Peggy Held was a 76-year-old woman at the time of interview, which took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1920. She earned a BA at Ohio Wesleyan University and was employed in retail with Citibank and Prentice-Hall Publishing.

Peggy Held recounts her time singing in the choir during Billy Graham's crusades in New York City and in Charlotte, North Carolina during the late 1950s. She discusses how her experience with the Graham crusades influenced her family's relocation to Charlotte in the 1970s, and her excitement for Rev. Graham's upcoming crusade in 1996.
