How do I use Advanced Search?
Click on the Advanced Search link below the search box to begin an advanced search. Using Advanced Search allows you to include multiple search terms, limit the term to a few commonly used fields, or control whether the term is contained within results or an exact match.
I have materials that I would like to donate. Who can I talk to?
UNC Charlotte Atkins Library Special Collections and University Archives welcomes donations of unique, historical materials that document the politics, people, arts and culture, social conditions, businesses, and development of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region. How do I get a copy of an image or recording in Goldmine?
You can download some items in Goldmine directly by clicking on the download button. If there is not a direct download link on the page, you can request a copy by submitting through the Contact Us form. Please keep in mind that some materials are view-only because of copyright restrictions.
I have additional information about an item in your collection, or would like to correct a mistake.
You can tell us more about the item through the Contact Us form.

Do you share your metadata elsewhere?
We share our metadata with the DPLA (Digital Public Library of America), a discovery tool for digital resources aggregated from archives, museums, libraries, and other cultural heritage institutions in the United States. Metadata shared with DPLA is not subject to copyright restrictions and is made freely available to DPLA users to harvest, modify, and collect.
How can I see physical materials in your collection?

How do I cite materials in Goldmine?
For more information, please visit our webpage on Reproductions and Use. In the case of publication, exhibition, or commercial use, we ask that proper acknowledgement be made regarding ownership of the original by J. Murrey Atkins Library, University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Can I use an image or part of a recording from Goldmine in my publication?
For uses of reproductions beyond private study, scholarship, and research, researchers are responsible for understanding and complying with U.S. copyright law.
